1. Game Drive (4x4)
A game drive is the highlight of most visits. It allows you to explore vast areas of the park and witness wildlife in its natural habitat, something that would be difficult to achieve on foot.
You can choose from the following game drive options:
✔️. Half-Day Game Drive
Enjoy a morning or afternoon safari lasting 4–5 hours, with the option of having breakfast in the bush.
✔️. Full-Day Game Drive
Spend approximately 8 hours exploring the wilderness with a picnic lunch, increasing your chances of spotting more wildlife.
2. Boat Safari
The best place for a boat safari is Nyerere National Park, where the Rufiji River and smaller lake channels provide an excellent opportunity to explore the park by water.
This safari offers breathtaking views of animals and birds along the riverbanks, as well as a chance to see large populations of hippos and crocodiles.
Why Choose a Boat Safari?
Spectacular Views – Observe animals gathering at the water’s edge, enjoy lush vegetation, and witness stunning sunsets over the river.
Ideal for Photography – A boat safari provides excellent vantage points for capturing incredible wildlife shots.
3. Walking Safari
This unique experience allows you to engage all your senses, hearing animal calls, smelling the bush, and observing tracks, all of which are missed during a game drive.
Walking safaris bring you closer to nature and offer a deeper connection with the wild.
You'll be accompanied by armed rangers and guides for safety.
Important Walking Safari Guidelines:
✔️. Walk in a single file and maintain silence to help guides and rangers keep you safe.
✔️. Always listen to your guide or ranger.
✔️. Follow the safari motto: Never run!
4. Balloon Safari
Start your day with a breathtaking hot air balloon safari. Departing early in the morning (between 04:00 and 05:00),
Your driver will pick you up and take you to the launch site, where you'll float above the savannah, witnessing wildlife from a unique aerial perspective.
